February
has finished in and thereby turned 12 months working as National Staff for Vida
Estudiantil (Cru). It has been a year that challenged me personally a lot to
grow and mature in many areas of my life and about the ministry, thank God we
had a 2014 full of many events part of this was the birth of our movement in
diverse universities. Try to summarize in a few lines what God has done and is
doing in our movement.
February 2014: I
traveled to Panama to participate in the design team SOLO 1 Latin American
Congress, who were part of this team would not necessarily be part of the team
at this conference.

April: A second vision trip and we
started a movement at INTEC a private college. We started with one key student
now we have 4 student leaders there.
May: Students on Summer Mission came and at the end
of the month, Cru USA and us sponsored “Girl´s night Out” event which was
successful, 200 girls from different ages attended to this conference, 40
received Christ and 119 recommitted their life to Jesus. Most of those girls
are connected to local churches.
June: A second Summer Mission
arrived. We opened a new movement in O&M and we had our camp-retreat.
July: We said good bye to our
friends, the Stinters and I said see you later to David Canterbury.
August: We keep strengthening
INTEC, O&M and UNIBE movement while planning next semester for UASD, UNPHU,
UTESA, and UCE.
September: The new
Stint team arrived; we as Vida Estudiantil DR recorded our video to promote Solo 1, every country who is participating on this conference is making a video to let other countries know they are going and to invite everyone to go.and a week later I went to national staff training on
Colombia for two weeks.

October: I receive the invitation to
be part of the program team of Solo 1 the Conference and I said “yes, of course
I would like to serve”. Additionally, we started movement at UTESA-Santiago
(North Coast of our country).
November: We have a campaign through
sermons on every campus, we spoke about the family. The family that God designed;
the role of each member of the family and also we prayed for the families of
the world, specific for the families of the DR. Furthermore we were setting
everything for Vida Christmas dinner on December.
December: We had our Christmas dinner and Keith Onishi
director of LAC (Latin America and the Caribbean) gave the message that special
night where 159 people (students and some of their parents) were to celebrate
the 2014 of Vida Estudiantil. Also a cousin of mine prayed to receive Christ as
Lord and Savior, we are studying the bible while she is starting to go to a
church; she is pretty excited about getting to know God and serve Him. Thanks
for your prayers!!
January 2015: We went
with Planting Church team to share the gospel; celebrated birthdays and spend
time with Vida students/my friends during Christmas break for UASD students (a
long break) while starting the meetings on other private campuses.
Leyla and Ashlee´s birthday. Leyla is National Director with her Husband Prospero Peña for Vida Estudiantil, and Ashlee is International Campus Staff.
February 2015: Prospero Peña (Vida National Director) and Matt Cayton (ICS) went to San Francisco and met 6 students who might be key students to start movement there; San Francisco is in the North-East. In the other hand, We closed the application for our Dominican students to go to Solo 1, we have 55 students who are raising support, and I´m really excited that 3 of the 7 girls I'm discipling this semester are in that list.
Once
again thanks for always being there among this whole year.
God bless
you all and until next month,
Starliner Batista
